Tee: Amazon / Jeans: Rock & Republic for Kohl's / Flats: Target / Glasses: Firmoo
I actually feel bad for Monday's a little bit. No one likes them, and its not really their fault. Or is it?
When I got to work today there was a cat sitting on our stoop. I think it was a sign that this day is going to get much better. I hope so anyway. I went out to see her and she was a very friendly babe. I thought about feeding her something as she seemed a little on the thin side, but I knew if I did that she'd never leave, and she was already following me around crying. I felt awful going back inside as she seemed to love the attention, but sadly, I had to get to work, and I knew B wouldn't let me bring home another cat.
Oh the woes of the crazy cat lady.
On an unrelated note, I really like Batman. And it was casual Friday. 'Nuff said.

The return of the green jeans
Top: AE / Jeans: Old Navy / Shoes: Toms (similar cordones)
Hey I made it a whole FOUR weeks without wearing my green jeans!
But then, I heard them, from the depths of my dresser drawer...
They called to me:
"Katie! You know you want to wear me!" they said.
And I did.
So today they are making a more comfy outfit appearance. Remixing every week is really teaching me to re-wear clothes. Before I was afraid to repeat an item more then once every few months. Now I'm reusing my favorite items in new ways once every week or two! It's allowing me a lot more mileage out of my clothes, and experiment with them in new ways. When I first purchased these jeans back in early spring, I didn't think I'd wear them with anything but a plain oversized white tee. Now I've worn them like this and this and this. If you haven't challenged yourself to remix once a week yet, I highly recommend it!
Happy hump day ya'll!

It's a Watershed kind of weekend
Tee: DMB concert shirt / Jeans: Rock & Republic for Kohl's / Shoes: Target / Scarf: handmade gift
Hooray for Friday!!!
I'm gearing up to head to Watershed Fest for the weekend with my babe and a few friends. An entire weekend of camping and awesome country music - like my FAVE Miranda Lambert, with some Dierks Bentley, Sara Evans and Blake Shelton thrown in there too!
Before I head out I thought I'd share my very casual (Thursday) outfit with ya'll.
I took this pic with my handy new iPhone tripod mount - I'm still trying to figure it the best way to take tripod photos, as I really got in a routine with that stinkin' mirror. I think (hope) next week I'll have some way prettier pics - maybe even some outside shots! :-O !
AND I'm going to try super hard to document this weekends festival outfits, so look for that Monday :)
Ok, I'm out to get somework Pinterest-ing done before we leave - have a fabulous weekend everyone!!

Casual Friday
Tee: Loud Lion / Sweater: New York & Company (similar) / Pants: Gap circa 2004 / Shoes: Mossimo for Target
Casual Friday in an already casual work environment is quite the conundrum. Nonetheless people dress especially down on Friday's, myself included. I rarely wear a full on t-shirt to work, even on Friday, but this lucky lady works with a lovely girl who (with her fiance, soon to be hubby!) owns a little t-shirt shop called Loud Lion. This makes it acceptable for all of us in the office who own Loud Lion tees to sport them with pride! Score!

Jegging Wednesday
I seriously love jeggings. No really. I LOVE jeggings. Not only are they comfortable, they function as jeans, without all the annoying zippers and buttons.
Today I woke up waaaaay late (oops) and really needed comfort and quick, over style. Enter my love - jeggings! They are my go-to for quick and cute!
Also, I chose this picture, not because I look the best, but because I love the look my kitty is giving me in the background. Oh Rosie. She's my bulimic cat, and I dont mean that in a negative or mocking way. She doesnt eat much, but when she does, she eats and eats and eats, and then walks away and throws up. But shes quite svelte. Oi. My other chubby kitty more then makes up for her though!
