Good morning lovelies!

When I started this blog I thought I wanted to keep my personal life and my blog life separate. I created a new Twitter account (xo_kathrynlaine) to promote my blog, while still using my personal Twitter (@kmook) as I normally would. I barely posted on xo_kathrynlaine, and I realized that was completely silly.
I want you guys to know the real me, in all my silly, sometimes profound, (and once in awhile drunk) tweeting glory.

So in an effort to let you guys get to know me a little better, I'm doing away with my xo_kathrynlaine account. If you follow it - first, thank you - and second, please feel free to catch up with me over at @kmook.

I admit I haven't been the most consistent blogger, and maybe you'll get a little more of an idea of my whereabouts if I disappear :)

With that in mind, since I was a bad girl again this week (shocker), heres an outfit photo from this week. Taken the old school iPhone way. Holla!

This outfit was super comfy for a long Wednesday at work. I had meetings and loads of work... such has been my week. Plus this whole getting up early thing has been killer, even though I love being home and in my sweats before 5! (Don't judge).

Hammer Time

It's official - I get home too late to take outfit pictures in the evening. Sun, where have you gone?!
I have no place in my apartment that has good lighting.. that'll be remedied when we move in a few weeks but I suppose until then you'll have to suffer through painfully photoshopped and brightened photos. What do you fellow bloggers do when there's no good lighting for your shots?!

Anywho, I seriously love these pants.
I tried them on at the CAbi party, but ended up not purchasing them... only to not be able to stop thinking about them and all the lovely ways I could integrate them into my wardrobe this fall and winter. I lovingly dubbed them my 'Hammer pants' (2 legit 2 quit) and called the consultant to add them to my order. I'm sooooooo stinkin' glad I did! They can be worn as leggings or scrunched up to the knee as cute little capris like so. They are a stretchy, sweat pant type material, but have a professional look about them. I am officially on the 'lounge wear as work wear' bandwagon. Consider me sold. They will fit in nicely with my recently acquired and also lovingly dubbed Pajama Skirt.

Am I getting lazy or what?!

Thursday Remix

Happy Thursday ya'll!

I decided something on happy accident today - turns out LAST Thursday I posted wearing this same cardi, which got me thinking, Thursdays should be my remix days! I'd love to do one of those 30 x 30 challenges, but I'm awful at reusing pieces, so perhaps this is a good way to ease in. After vacation, everything Thursday, I'll be taking one piece from the previous Thursday's outfit and re-wearing it in a different way! I love a good happy accident. Two more days and I'll be sweet home Chicago! Can't wait!

Gray Days

Yesterday, I was feeling pretty good, and I believe it shows in my outfit! I fell asleep the night before reading Harry Potter (desperately trying to finish 'The Goblet of Fire' so I can move on to book 5!) around 9:30pm, and slept until 8:30am. This seems excessive, but it was the the first morning I woke up feeling remotely refreshed, and for this - I am incredibly thankful!!

As for the outfit, I just want to say this dress is a lifesaver, you can style it up or style it down and the fit is super flattering on all body types. The denim also makes it crazy versatile with adding color. You can also see how I wore it here!

Friday Day and Night

Whos ready for some crazy posting action?!

I had good intentions when I took these photos Friday - I actually remembered to chronicle my 'going out' outfit as well! But the photo shopping failed to happen and instead I spent the weekend watching Greek on Netflix and eating (and drinking) loads of things that weren't on WeightWatchers. I also managed to get out Friday night with some co-workers and good friends though - hence the beer in hand. :) Hope ya'll had a great weekend too!

Its Copycat Friday! Hoorah! This is the first one I've participated in, and I'm SOOOOO glad I did. I scoured the interwebz and pinned all my favorite blogger outfits. I took those pins and I racked my closet and put together so many new, fresh outfits I can't even begin to tell you. I had a hard time picking just one to share on this day, but this one is only the tip of the iceberg! I kind of want to make this a weekly occurrence but I'm still a little scared to put that much pressure on myself lol.

Anyhow the inspiration for this little ditty comes from the always fabulous Kendi at Kendi Everyday. I love the soft and sweet mixed with the tough boots. AND I'm slipping this one in just as our spring turns too hot to wear these boots anymore!

Jegging Wednesday

I seriously love jeggings. No really. I LOVE jeggings. Not only are they comfortable, they function as jeans, without all the annoying zippers and buttons.

Today I woke up waaaaay late (oops) and really needed comfort and quick, over style. Enter my love - jeggings! They are my go-to for quick and cute!

Also, I chose this picture, not because I look the best, but because I love the look my kitty is giving me in the background. Oh Rosie. She's my bulimic cat, and I dont mean that in a negative or mocking way. She doesnt eat much, but when she does, she eats and eats and eats, and then walks away and throws up. But shes quite svelte. Oi. My other chubby kitty more then makes up for her though!
