I am Batman?

Tee: Amazon / Jeans: Rock & Republic for Kohl's / Flats: Target / Glasses: Firmoo

I actually feel bad for Monday's a little bit. No one likes them, and its not really their fault. Or is it?

When I got to work today there was a cat sitting on our stoop. I think it was a sign that this day is going to get much better. I hope so anyway. I went out to see her and she was a very friendly babe. I thought about feeding her something as she seemed a little on the thin side, but I knew if I did that she'd never leave, and she was already following me around crying. I felt awful going back inside as she seemed to love the attention, but sadly, I had to get to work, and I knew B wouldn't let me bring home another cat.

Oh the woes of the crazy cat lady.

On an unrelated note, I really like Batman. And it was casual Friday. 'Nuff said.

3 out of 5

Tank: Old Navy (similar) / Jeans: Old Navy / Cardi: AE / Flats: Target

We've survived another week ya'll.

And I survived in another pair of colored pants. 3/5 days this week. Yup. I thought I had a problem a few days ago, and I KNOW I do now. But I couldn't ignore these beautiful mustard color pants. They are a perfect shade that makes them almost a neutral, no?

Lilly agrees. That's why she photobombed my picture.

I'm looking forward to a chill weekend of using my Kohl's coupons, wine tasting, kayaking and grilling out, hoping to extend summer just a tad (it's still pretty toasty here in the Tri-Cities). What are ya'lls plans??

Wishing you a beautiful and peaceful weekend!

It's OK...

Top: Old Navy / Jeans: AE / Wedges: Super old, Bongo... probably from Kohl's?

Normally I do a Thursday remix, but ya'll with my brother in town and and juggling entertaining, work, working out, etc. I'm sleeping very little and feel blessed to even have semi-blog worthy outfits to post. So for the next few weeks, the Thursday remix may or may not be happening, and in its place I'll do the lovely 'Its OK' post:

-It's OK to not have time to think about my clothes as much as normal, and miss my own self-imposed blog deadlines.

-It's OK to stay up with your brother (and amazing boyfriend) until 1am chatting and playing video games, even when you have to work the next day, because you live 2,000 miles apart and don't get to see each other as much as you used to.

-It's OK to go to the mall to return an item, and leave with 4 more. Oops.

-It's OK to be a little late to work ONCE IN AWHILE. Shiz happens!

-It's OK to be thinking about dying my hair again already.

-It's OK to do a little happy dance when you peel the sticker off the Kohl's coupon book and you got the 30% off-er!

-It's OK to quickmix your John Mayer, Enya and Harry Potter soundtrack Pandora stations and love every. single. song. that comes on.

That was fun kids. I may just do that again next week. Hope you all have a beautiful Thursday!

My name is Katie and I have a problem.

Tee: DMB merch / Jeans: AE / Shoes: Toms

Guys.

Guys. I have a problem. Srsly.

I can. not. stop. wearing my burgundy jeggings. I mean. I wore them today. And here. And here. And I may or may not have worn them in between and not posted.

And I've only had them for a month.

P.S. These glasses are fake. I wore them to feel more hipster. It was unsuccessful.
P.P.S. I haven't washed my hair since Saturday. Apparently, red hides greasiness. Another bonus for the red hair!

EBEW: Back to school

Cardi: Target (similar) / Tee: AE / Jeggings: Simply Vera Vera Wang via Kohl's / Shoes: Toms

I'm not really going back to school. In fact, I haven't been back to school in about 6 years. (Whoa.)

But if I was going back to school, this ensemble is definitely something I'd be wearing in that first week. Super comfy and casual and a little bit chic, it's perfect for checking out a new semesters classes and getting into a new routine... hitting the Starbucks on campus and sitting outside the AJ building people watching while eating my lunch... reading a book in the lawn for awhile and then casually strolling back to Beacon Hill for a cookout and a few beers with my roomies and neighbors...

Oh HEY back to reality. Just a little reminiscing on the 'ole Ball State days. Go Cardinals!

Happy Tuesday ya'll!

So lift up your eyes, lift up your heart

Dress: Target / Blouse: Shop in Leavenworth / Necklace: Maurices

If you haven't noticed I still have Dave Matthews on the brain in a major way. His new album comes out Tuesday and I'm stoked. I love every single track I've heard already! I didn't share much with this crazy week, but last weekend I mentioned B and I went to see DMB at the Gorge here in Washington (same place we saw the country music fest a month or so ago!). Its a GORGEOUS venue and its so fun to camp and see 3 nights of great music. The second night we had pit tickets which was AMAZING - we were less then 100ft. from the band. Epic. We had seats the 3rd night, and the first night we just had lawn, but even that is super fun with the gorgeous views. Here's a few pics:

The Dave community is so fun. I was into DMB well before I ever met B, but wasn't a rabid fan like he is. (He's literally been to over 65 Dave shows). When I met him and I started seeing them live, I was hooked. I have officially seen 7 Dave shows (they add up quick). At these weekend shows you meet so many cool people - our neighbors for camping were awesome! The DMB community is like a big ole family, and there is literally people of all ages going to the shows. Anyway, if you haven't seen them live and are remotely into their music, I HIGHLY recommend doing so!

My bro will be here in the morning - hooray! I hope ya'll have a beautiful weekend :)

Thursday Remix

Tee: AE / Skirt: Target / Scarf: AE (similar) / Glasses: OGI Eyewear

Remixing it up with my maxi from last week! Frankly, I still have a hard time 'mixing' my maxi skirts, but I thought the monochromatic at least added a little different spin to it!

So far, today is feeling much better then yesterday. I have an appointment that gets me out of the office a little bit this afternoon, which is always nice, and my bro is also leaving Chi-town via train this afternoon to come out to visit for a few weeks, and I can't wait for him to be here! We've been here almost a year but aside from B's parents, no family has been out to visit, so I'm excited to show him where we live! Guess that means I ought to get on cleaning the apartment!

What do you guys think I should remix next week??
If you need a reminder of my last few remixes, check check check it out -

Oh yea, and I dyed my hair again. Whoopsie! Once I start I just can't stop! Are you guys feeling the red? I'm only ok with it, but it's a fun intermediary color before digging into to a darker brunette!

Hope you have a lovely day today ya'll!!

Gotta do much more then believe if we wanna see the world change

Top: LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's / Pants: Gap (similar) / Shoes: AE

Its been one of 'those days' today. So I don't really have a ton to share other then -- here's my outfit! Its exceptionally hard to go back to work after a long weekend isn't it? That's why I decided to head back in something comfy. Voila!

Hopefully I'll be less stressed and a tad happier tomorrow ya'll. Thanks for bearing with me!

Copycat Friday

GAH! I hate when I don't schedule my posts correctly and they don't post. I totally missed Copycat Friday, but I'm posting anyway, 'cuz my outfit was dern cute!
-------
Today I didn't copycat a person - I copied a pin!

I saw this cute little ensemble floating around Pinterest and it looked sooooooooo comfortable and cute! I knew I had just the pieces to recreate it.

It's casual, comfortable, sweet and a little romantic. It's perfect for my office as the days have cooled into the low 80's but the A/C in the office is still in high gear. Plus we all know I love my Toms and I'm ALWAYS trying to find fun new ways to wear them!
