Chambray top: Kohls / Tee: Abercrombie / Skirt: Target / Shoes: Target / Bracelet: Maurices
Today I decided to go for remixing my chambray button up tank. The outfit is nothing really extrordinary but it was comfortable for my PMS-ing and didn't make me feel like I weighed a million pounds, and sometimes, thats all you can ask for!
I'm super stoked for the weekend, another one that will be spent at the Gorge. This time seeing Dave Matthews Band (B is obsessed. No really. He's one of those mega fans thats seen over 60 shows. And yes, I'm going to marry that.) Anyway its going to be just he and I so I'm looking forward to our little weekend camping/good tunes getaway!
Ok thats all I've got. Anyone else get PMS brain? My short term memory is shot and I can think of absolutely nothing witty or creative to share. Sorry ya'll. Maybe post-relaxing weekend I'll feel a little more like myself!

I look like who?!
Cardi: NY & Co. (similar) / Tank: Target / Pants: AE / Shoes: Target
I was really feeling this outfit. The tones were pretty and the pattern was great, it was flowy and tight in all the right places... all in all I felt pretty good walking out the door for work, which to me, is what fashion is all about.
Then, as I went into the kitchen to grab my coffee and B says: "You look really pretty today baby! (awww)
.....You look like the Joker!" (WHAT?!)
Um. Excuse me?
I'm just going to assume its due to the color scheme more then the actual look. Or at least that's what I'm telling myself. Thanks honey!

When was the last time you wore a skort?
Top: AE / Skort: Kohl's (similar) / Shoes: Toms
I haven't owned, or seen, a skort since I was in about 8th grade. I'm fairly certain that's when they stopped being "cool". But when I came across this little beauty at Kohl's I fell in LOVE all over again. Its denim and its short, and based on that it didn't feel entirely work appropriate. But when I saw those little shorts underneath I knew I could easily pull this off for work AND it would be a staple in my closet this summer for everything from picnics to baseball games to hanging around the house.
Sadly when I bought it in early spring, I wasn't anticipating the weight I'd gain before summer even started, and it sat unworn in my closet until I could hit the gym enough to button it up.
Finally - success!! And now I'll give it the attention it deserves, even into fall with some cute cable knit tights and a sweater. I thinks it's meant to be.
Am I the only one who hasn't seen a cute skort in YEARS?!
Linking up!

[Weekend Wear] Fair Edition
Tank: Anthropologie (clearance) / Pants: Maurices (similar) / Shoes: thrifted Cons
This weekend B and I hit up the Benton Franklin County Fair. Being the midwesterners that we are, we both love a good fair (I am not lying when I tell you B was 4-H king in his day. Yup. That's my man.). Needless to say, we had a blast - I spent an inordinate amount of time with the goats (is it weird that I REALLY want a goat?) and Jerrod Neimann was the headliner. I love me some country.
We missed the rodeo which I was a tad bummed about, but we played several rounds of bingo at the bingo tent, and in my eyes, that more then made up for it. We also caught the hypnotist and ate loads of terrible fair food, including but not limited to: corn dogs, shaken lemonades and hot buttered corn on the cob - though we did steer clear of the deep fried butter and funnel cakes. We also spent some time in a really cool little wine garden that had a pretty decent pianist.
As you can imagine the fair grounds were dirty and dusty, so I went with a comfortable outfit that I didn't mind getting a little dirty in. The only thing missing was my cowboy hat (how did I forget that?!)
What's your idea of good fair wear??

Thursday Remix
Maxi: Kohls (similar) / Tee: Gap (similar) / Chambray top: Kohls (similar) / Sandals: AE (similar)
And we're back! I decided to start fresh and mix up an item from last weeks outfit. I always struggle with new ways to wear a maxi, so I thought I'd challenge myself a tad and see how I could make it feel like a completely different outfit. It may not be totally different, but before blogging I never would have thought to add all these layers!
As a reminder, heres how I wore it last week:
Ya'll I'm EXHAUSTED today. I spent the evening at the emergency vet when I noticed my little booger Rosie was crouched all over the apartment trying to tinkle. Turns out she has a UTI, so shes on meds now, and B has a pinched nerve in his neck/back that's hitting its worst point, and making it impossible for him to sleep because he's in so much pain. I feel awful for them both and I'm completely stressed. Needless to say the Kathryn Laine household is a bit of a cluster right now.
I need a nap. And something with rum in it. Stat.

Stay Puft returns
I'm sure you are all wondering how this harrowing tale ends.
Whence we last left off, I was under the instruction of this unknown office villain to work 6 movie quotes into every day conversation. As I began this arduous task, still not knowing whether Stay Puft was alive or dead, I received two disturbing, yet revitalizing photos titled "Proof of Life". I believe the kidnapper could feel my restlessness.
The oven picture made it clear, the situation was getting dire.
It was a long day, but I felt a sense of accomplishment as I checked each quote off the list, barely making my 5pm deadline. I knew I was one step closer to my Stay Puft.
Sadly, this was not my final task. Once the last quote was used, I received another email:
Soon after this last desperate plea, I received one last email. Apparently, this poem appeased the office scoundrel, as he/she detailed Stay Puft's whereabouts.

Your final task is here, you’re very close to getting your Stay Puft Man back. The last thing you must do is compose a poem.
Your poem must be 6 rhyming verses long. Each verse is 4 lines or more. Once you have finished it, you will email it out to the entire imageworks building, with not explanation about why you are sending it.
Your poem can be about anything in the Ghostbusters movie.
If you complete this task by 11 a.m., your Stay Puft will be returned to you at the end of the day. Good luck, and may the fluff be with you.

It’s over, it’s done, look how far you’ve come!
Your man is near, can you smell his fear?
It’s dark and it’s damp, and he doesn’t have a lamp.
Look up and you’ll see the key to his pen
Pull on that string and this all comes to an end
You may need some height to get in his sight
A stepstool you’ll find if, in the studio you mine.
Your man will be safe from my future pranks.
Thanks for playing along, you’ve been so much fun.
Do you wonder if he’s been here all along?
_____________________
I immediately retrieved the stepstool, and climbed up to the ceiling, where I found my Stay Puft, bound and gagged, but safe nonetheless.
Its been a harrowing experience for us all, but I'm pleased to report he is safely resting in his proper place on my desk. The villain turned herself in, and all is right with the world.
Until next time...

The return of the green jeans
Top: AE / Jeans: Old Navy / Shoes: Toms (similar cordones)
Hey I made it a whole FOUR weeks without wearing my green jeans!
But then, I heard them, from the depths of my dresser drawer...
They called to me:
"Katie! You know you want to wear me!" they said.
And I did.
So today they are making a more comfy outfit appearance. Remixing every week is really teaching me to re-wear clothes. Before I was afraid to repeat an item more then once every few months. Now I'm reusing my favorite items in new ways once every week or two! It's allowing me a lot more mileage out of my clothes, and experiment with them in new ways. When I first purchased these jeans back in early spring, I didn't think I'd wear them with anything but a plain oversized white tee. Now I've worn them like this and this and this. If you haven't challenged yourself to remix once a week yet, I highly recommend it!
Happy hump day ya'll!

$10 Jeans
Top: AE / Jeans: AE / Flips: AE
I am once again a walking AE billboard, but for the price of these jeans, I don even curr.
They were on mad sale, and buy one get one 50% AND I had a 40% coupon. What does that mean? That means $10 awesome fitting jeans for Katie. They are extra long for my wedges, super stretchy, and super big bells, because while I dig a good skinny, sometimes you just need a giant flare in your life. That's two days of me touting my AE love... wonder what Wednesday will bring?!

The curious case of the missing Stay Puft

Katie,
I have taken your Stay Puft Man. If you ever want to see him again, you will complete the tasks I give you this week. If you attempt to find him, or cheat on the tasks you are given, he will see the inside of a s’more and you’ll never see him again.
Your first task will be a scavenger hunt. Throughout the building, I have hidden some gifts, which you will need to complete the second task.
Here’s your first clue: it stinks, it's gross, it's the room ladies avoid most, and it's where you'll have to go, if you ever want to know, the location of your man.
Sincerely,
The Stay Puft Napper

staked out on my desk for the past few weeks. Sadly for Stay Puft, his life on my desk hasn't been an easy one. Ever since his arrival, people have stolen him, moved him around and tried to put him in the garbage.
But this? I never expected this. There is clearly a deranged criminal on the loose in my office.
Upon arriving at work Monday morning I checked the men's bathroom, the obvious answer to the clue from the email, and was promptly sent on a wild goose chase around my office, finding bags of large marshmallows in each location.
The last item was a ruler and an elmers glue, with a note instructing me to build a 2 ft tall Stay Puft man with the marshmallows by 530pm or else my Stay Puft would be run over in the parking lot.
I couldn't let that happen, so I built this gem:
Stunning replica, no? I left him in the kitchen as a sacrifice.
After a long afternoon of waiting for another email concerning the whereabouts of my beloved Stay Puft man, I received another email detailing more tasks for tomorrow...
staypuft napper [staypuftnapper@*****.com]

The first two tasks you have passed, now a tribute you’ll pay. Have a dry-erase marker handy, for throughout the day tomorrow, these things you will say.
“I collect spores, molds, and fungus”
“I ain’t afraid of no ghost”
“Mother puss bucket!”
“I am the gatekeeper (or keymaster)”
“It smells like barbecued dog hair”
“That’s a big twinkie”
RULES:
RULES:
Write your list on the window, so we can all see. Use these famous lines in witnessed conversations, and then check them off the list as you do.
Finally, if you want to see the Stay Puft Man again, you will need to tell your colleagues that you prefer to be called Egon or Venkman for the day. Customers excluded, if anyone calls you Katie, you’d better correct them, or your man may get too close to the wrong end of a roasting stick.
______________________________________

And alas, I left work for the day without my Stay Puft man. Only time will tell what other vicious tasks I must perform to get back the one I love, but maybe, just maybe, tomorrow I will be able to save him from this office villain.

Can you see me now?
Top: American Eagle / Pants: American Eagle / Flats: Michael Kors
Ok I broke.
With all my amazing new followers I decided it was probably time to get off the lazy train and use my real camera. Looks better, no? Its not the ideal lighting situation, but I'll get better. At least now you can really see the details and colors of the items right? I feel I should get an 'A' for effort here, and I think the ole iPhone has certainly gotten me far, but this is waaaay better!
I realize I'm a walking billboard for AE here, but I can not stress enough the amazing-ness that is these pants. Its their knit jegging, and they are AWESOME. So comfortable, and they hug every curve without being too tight. I'm the first to tell you my problem section is my middle, and these pants fit so perfect, I'm not even forced to wear baggy tunics over them because they muffin top me. I'm desperately hoping they'll come out with more colors... hunter green perhaps? Maybe a fall-ish orange? PLEASE AE I BEG YOU. See. I'm not above begging.
Happy Monday ya'll!

FRIDAY! Woop woop! I'm sure I'm not alone when I say few things make me happier then Friday. (Well ok, Friday afternoon makes me a little happier). But I especially love busy Friday's, because I know my workday will fly and then I'll be home with B ready to do the weekend thang! Its supposed to be hotter then the dickens (does anyone know what a dickens is?) again in the Tri, and I'm think some SERIOUS pool time will be in order. B refreshed our wine stores already so I'm ready for a relaxing weekend of pool, wine and reading! What are ya'lls plans??
As for my outfit.. its day two of the mocs and glasses. I believe these are going to be two accessories I will be obsessed with all fall, so be prepared to see plenty of them! They are really the only interesting thing about this outfit, it was a pretty mellow, casual day for me.
In other news...
This kitteh is having a real bad day.
Go forth and conquer your Friday! :)

Grandma glasses
The Thursday Remix is on a break this week, but will be returning next Thursday at its regularly scheduled time! :)
I got new glasses!!
I'm basically blind as a bat, and while I'm a contacts girl through and through, I was craving a cute new pair of glasses. I have one pair already that I love, but I don't wear them nearly enough. I figured if I got some funky ones, maybe that would entice me to wear them a bit more, and give my poor eyeballs a break. They totally remind me of grandma glasses (in the best way). What do you think??

I like big buns and I cannot lie
Dress: American Eagle (similar) / Cardi: Abercrombie (similar) / Sandals: American Eagle (similar) / Earrings: Self made
I love when I get packages.
Really, this happens a lot because I have a shopping problem, and the stores in the Tri-cities are mediocre at best. Yesterday after work I was greeted with my package from my giant AE haul with my 40% off coupon. It was a very good package day indeed, and I already have many adorbs new outfits planned to show you! Hoo-rah!
Sooo is it still a million degrees anywhere else? I'm starting to see a few lucky bloggers pulling out their fall fashions and I am insanely jealous, as we are still stuck in the sweltering 100+ degree dog days of summer. I'm desperately wishing for a cool breeze and a sweatshirt. Ah fall... I suppose I'll enjoy the next month or so of my cute tanks and dresses, because once fall hits I know I'll miss bare shoulders, arms and legs.
Oh, and PS, ya'll notice my giant bun? I'm a big hair girl. Like a giant hair girl. I NEED volume. After several attempts, a sock just wasn't doing it for me. I needed more volume. Thankfully, I found it in the XL size of these lovely hair donuts at Claires. Its a purchase I'm supremely glad I made. My buns are now giant and I am one happy bun...head?

Blueeee, oh so lonesome for you... Monochromatic challenge!
Cardigan: American Eagle (similar) / Tee: American Eagle / Jeans: American Eagle (similar)
(wow, anyone else notice a trend here?)
Flats: Target / Scarf: Tourist store in Nashville!
I've been slacking on my Bloglovin' feed. So much so, in fact, that I didnt realize it was already an EBEW challenge until YESTERDAY. Therefore, I spent some QT in my closet last night and came up with this gem, that I was actually really stoked to wear today. B bought me this scarf when we were on vacation in Nashville last spring (as in 2011 spring) and I have never worn it! I could never quite find the right outfit... but I love it with this. Though I think blue looked better on me when I was blonde ;)
AND - ya'll - this is post number 99! Whew! Tomorrow better be a good one right?! No pressure though.

Spending time
Kimono Cardi: PoshLov (from a StitchFix) / Jeans: Rock & Republic via Kohls / Sandals: American Eagle (similar)
Happy Monday!
I had a pretty amazing weekend, I hope ya'll did too.
I wore this outfit Friday, and it ended up being perfect for my running around.
B is finally on a decent shift, and he now has Fridays/Saturdays off, so we have a somewhat normal weekend together - which I LOVE. Friday afternoon I left work early and we went for an eye doc appointment, (where I got some super cute new glasses, I can't wait to pick them up!), and then we went for happy hour at my favorite Tri-cities restaurant. I loooove $5 appletinis! After, we hit the local comic book store and spent an hour or so perusing mementos of our childhood (I left with a Stay Puft marshmallow man piggy bank and an April from TMNT action figure... don't judge). To finish the evening we ordered a pizza and watched our favorite episode of Parks & Rec ('The Fight' - if you haven't seen it, and you like to laugh, you should). All that, and it was only Friday!
Saturday was just as epic, we spent the early afternoon at the pool, grilled out, FINALLY went and saw The Dark Knight Rises (OMG.... Amazing. That's all I can say about it. Just. Amazing.) and then hit the grand opening of the new Dairy Queen by our place.
B had to work Sunday, but that works out great for me. By Sunday I'm already thinking about the week ahead, so I spent the evening gearing up for the week and relaxing by reading Harry Potter and playing some Sims. I love spending quality time with my babe, especially because it's so hard to come by with our schedules, but I love having some 'me' time too! So I'm pretty sure this new schedule is going to work out amazing. :)
Did ya'll do anything fun this weekend??

A little bit of dye
Cardi: New York & Co. (similar) / Tee: American Eagle (similar) / Boyfriend Crops: American Eagle / Shoes: Gap (similar) / Earrings: Gift
I cheated a little.
But I know I'm not the only blogger who's guilty of this - Amirite?!
This outfit is actually from several weeks ago, but my real outfit was just too boring to blog 'bout.
Irregardless.
I love the fall feel and colors of this outfit. Am I the only one switching my mindset into fall already? Even though it'll still be months before it hits here in the desert - I'm ready for it!
Plus I was too busy dying my hair to bother with photos last night.
Yup. I went for it - despite wanting (and getting loads of awesome advice from yall!) to go red, I just couldn't find a red shade I felt sure enough about. With my blonde hair (that tends to not hold color all that well) I was fearful of slipping into the pink category after a few washings. So instead, I went with this reddish/warm toned caramel brown, that I'm THINKING can go more auburn next dying. This color is only semi-permanent, so I'll be ready for another dye job in a month or so.
Whaddaya think? I'm kind of in love with it! Its a nice change of pace for a bit, and since its only semi-permanent, I love it even more. I think I scared B with it a little, cuz since we have been dating (2 years) I haven't dyed it (other then highlights!). Ah, if only he knew me at about 24 years old. I'd have had a new hair color for him every month! ;)
What do your spouses/significant other think when you dye your hair??

Thursday Remix
Blouse: Boutique in Leavenworth / Tank: Sonoma via Kohls (similar) / Jeggings: Hue via Carson Pirie Scott (similar) / Flats: Target / Necklace: American Eagle
I admit, I kind of took the easy way out. I wanted to remix the striped maxi from last week, but this week has been exhausting and work is kicking my butt, so its the coral tank top again. THREE weeks in a row! I know, I know. At least its a basic piece so constantly re-wearing it in the office probably isn't weirding anyone out yet.
So wow. Just. Wow. On the Dallas finale last night - EPIC. Totally intermixed the old show with the new one. Already can't wait til January for the new season to start! Ack!
Ok readers I need your very serious opinion here. I've been feeling the need for a change in my look. I spent my late teens and early 20's dying my hair every color of the rainbow, but its been years since I've been anything but my (natural) blonde. I'm thinking about going brunette.. or possibly strawberry blonde. Like, tonight. Like I want to stop at the drugstore and pick up my favorite dye and just go for it.
Dont get me wrong, I LOVE being blonde, and I'll always go back to it... sometimes it just fun to mix things up a bit. I'm just skeptical since it's been so long since I've changed it!! What do you think??!
Oh, and, in case you don't remember how I've been rocking my lovely coral tank the last few weeks, here's your Remix Reminder!

Dallas night
Dress: c/o eShakti / Shoes: Toms / Earrings: Self made (look for a tutorial this week!) / Lips: Revlon's Just Bitten Lip Stain and Blame in 'Flame'
Happy hump day!
Wednesday has become one of my favorite days this summer because (and try not to judge me here) its DALLAS NIGHT! Yes. I just went there. Do ya'll remember the old school Dallas TV show with Larry Hagman and Patrick Duffy? The whole 'Who shot J.R.?' conundrum? Well if you haven't been living under a rock you've probably seen they rebooted it with the ultra sex-ay Jesse Metcalfe and Josh Henderson (both of Desperate Housewives fame).
I remember being just a tiny girl and watching the old school version with my mom. When the whole series came out on DVD we bought them all and rewatched. Its really a show that totally takes you away, its just so far out there that its awesome.
And, turns out, the reboot is exactly like it was 20+ years ago - a backstabbing, completely unrealistic, secrets and lies good time, and I LOVE it. Last week's episode ended pretty epically so I can't WAIT to watch tonight.
Do you guys have any guilty pleasure TV shows??

Thank God for good directions... and turnip greens
Tee: Kohls (similar) / Skirt: Target / Sandals: American Eagle (similar)
Ok ok, I admit I'm still in country mode after this weekend, so you will all have to suffer through post titles that make absolutely no sense unless you are a country music fan. In fact, even then they don't make any sense, but hey at least you will appreciate the lyrics.
Your welcome.
Speaking of, has anyone seen that show 'Awkward' on MTV? Its so stinkin' cute I can't get enough of it. I may or may not have watched all of season 1 recently, and now I'm catching up on season 2. I have to say, I like Jenna better with Matty.
Ok, A.D.D. much?
I digress.
Yay for iPhone tripod mounted photos! I finally had a little time to play with my mount yesterday and it was loads of fun! Not only is it nice for ya'll to not have to look at our messy bedroom and unmade bed in my awful mirror photos, but I can actually take photos anywhere! The light outside is obviously much better then inside, so I took these on my balcony - Which, PS - the reason I'm looking over my shoulder in disdain is because Rosie followed me out there and was trying to attempt kitty suicide by squeezing under the railing. This is not a good idea on the 3rd floor. She got a stern talking to.
Anywho, I'm kind of a one trick pony with the posing since I'm used to having to hold up my iPhone. Anyone have any good posing tips?!

She's gone country
All you really need to know about my weekend is the following:
1) 100+ degrees is really really hot.
2) 100+ degrees is even hotter when there is no shade to cool you down
3) Wear sunscreen in 100+ degree weather, but don't bother with makeup
4) If you forgot your bathing suit, it is ok to swim in the river in your tank top and underoos in 100+ degree weather, because everyone else will be doing it as well.
5) COUNTRY MUSIC ROCKS MY FACE OFF.
That is all :)
Also, here is my sad attempt at fashion this weekend - I had great intentions, but it turns out when its that hot (and you may or may not have been drinking beer and jell-o shots all weekend) you really just don't care what you are wearing as long as its not sticking to you!

The Liebster Award is a great way to start the week!
So the super sweet and adorable Jen from Glitterary Girl was kind enough to pass along the Liebster Award to me this weekend! Lemme tell ya, when I got her comment this morning - it sure was a fabulous way to start a Monday :)
The Liebster Award is given to up-and-coming bloggers with less than 200 followers. The word around the blogosphere is that "Liebster" is German for kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, valued, cute, pleasant, endearing and welcome, which to me, sounds like an incredible compliment :).
So the rules for accepting the award are as follows:
1. Each person most post post 11 things about themselves.
2. Answer the questions the tagger has set for you, and then create 11 new questions for the people you tag with the award.
3. Chose 11 bloggers (with less then 200 followers) and link them in your post.
4. Go to their page and tell them about the award (social networks accepted).
5. If you have not done so already, follow the tagger and visit at least three nominees. Spread the love!
6. And remember, no tag backs!
OK GO-
11 things you proooobably didn't want to know about me. ;)
1.) My favorite color is red.
2.) I despise all seafood. Even the smell makes me nauseous.
3.) I'm a terrible klutz. Once, when I was young, I had just gotten the cast off of my broken arm, and I still had it in a sling when I broke my other arm. I'm pretty much a rock star bone breaker.
4.) I was in a tornado when I was 6 years old. My mom, brothers and I were all in the house when it happened. We barely made it to the basement and when we stood up, there was no longer a house above us.
5.) I met B on eHarmony. Apparently, online dating ISN'T just a scam ;)
6.) I am a crazy cat lady. I'm thoroughly convinced I had 900 of them in a past life and was very happy about it.
7.) Along with number 6, I can also talk to cats and they talk back. Every. Single. Time. If I roll down my window and start talking to a stray kitty it will stop in its tracks and start meowing back at me. I think I'm the Cat Whisperer.
8.) I've mentioned this before, but I feel its important you know I'm a giant Harry Potter geek.
9.) I'm about as girly as you can get for growing up with two athletic, gun toting, video game playing, stinky older brothers. (Who are pretty much my best friends)
10.) Speaking of video games - I love them - and can play the Sims for days at a time.
11.) I'll likely never move back there, but Chicago will ALWAYS be my home, and always have my heart. It's truly one of the best cities in the world!
The answers to my questions from Ms. Jen:
1. What's a quirky fear of yours?
This is easy - I just dealt with it yesterday! I have a really weird thing with going up steep hills or inclines in any kind of vehicle - whether its a car or a rollercoaster or an airplane. I feel like I'm going to flip over backwards! Its so strange. I start crying involuntarily and I have to sit all the way forward with my head between my legs. Living near the mountains and driving up all these hills in the Pacific Northwest has not helped.
2. How long have you been blogging?
Since March! So... just over 4 months or so. Wow, has it been that long already? I'm still loving doing it every day :)
3. Who is your hero?
I dont know that I really have a hero, but if theres anyone I've always look up to, its definitely my parents. I probably don't say it enough but they are both such strong and amazing people. They have really taught me how to be an independent, free spirit, not afraid to do my own thing and stand up for my opinions!
4. What's your favorite shade of lipstick or gloss?
I normally dont wear much color, I'm a Blistex Sleek & Shine fan to the max. But I recently discovered Revlon's Just Bitten lip stain and balm, and now I rock 'Gothic' all the time! (It's a pretty shade of red!)
5. What is your favorite season?
Fall, hands down. I'm obsessed with Halloween, pumpkin or apple flavored and scented everything, sweatshirts, football season, the beautiful colors, crock pot meals and crisp cool breezes.
6. Do you subscribe to any magazines?
YES. I was a magazine journalism major in college, so I'm kind of a magazine whore. Right now I'm only getting Marie Claire and Good Housekeeping in the mail though, I also get Us Weekly on my iPad (which, PS, if you love celeb gossip and haven't checked out the new Us Weekly app on your iPad yet - DO IT. Its awesome. I love reading them on my super clear HD screen and then being able to just archive them to my cloud instead of having their paper counterparts sit around my house for months on end!)
7. What is one place you really want to travel to?
Australia! I've always wanted to go. I hear amazing things about how beautiful it is there, and there is so much to do!
8. Household chore you hate the most?
Cleaning the cat box. Ew. Just. Ew. I love my Lilly and Rosie, but oh man do they leave me some stinky treats some times. Conveniently enough, B always 'forgets' to do it too when I ask him lol.
9. Are you an early bird or a night owl?
NIGHT OWL. I wish I could say early bird, I want to be SO bad. But I can't. I can't tear myself out of bed in the morning. In fact, I have to shower at night, put my clothes out for the next day, and pack my lunch the night before like a grade schooler because if I didn't, I'd have to go to work lunchless, stinky and in the same pair of jeans every day. I'm that bad.
10. What's your favorite reality show?
You want me to pick just one?? Can I say all of them?! Yes, I am a reality show junkie. I love my Bachelors and my Bachelorettes, and my Bachelor Pads for that matter... I also can't get enough of the Real Housewives of Orange County and Beverly Hills, as well as Teen Mom and 16 & Pregnant. Yes I'm 28 going in 12.
11. What store would you like to get a $1000 gift card for?
Anthropologie! I LOVE their quirky and unique items, and their clothes fit my body type much better now. Truly gorgeous stuff in their folks.
And now, I'm passing the Liebster on to these 11 amazing blogs:
The Leaflet
An Alaskan Weredork
Work it
Work Clothes, I Suppose
Back East Blonde
Sparkle is a Color
A Rambling Fancy
Marriage by Design
Brittany's Notebook
Life Etc.
Secondhand Couture
And here are your questions ladies!
1. Link us to your favorite post!
2. What article of clothing can you not live without?
3. What's in your purse?
4. What is your favorite book of all time?
5. What's your favorite thing to cook?
6. Favorite movie of all time?
7. Heels or flats?
8. What are the top 3 things on your bucket list?
9. What is the biggest risk you have ever taken?
10. You can only shop at one store for the rest of your life - what store is it?
11. What inspired you to start blogging?
Whew, that post took awhile! But I hope you feel like you know a little more about me, and I can't WAIT to learn more about the 11 lovelies above!

It's a Watershed kind of weekend
Tee: DMB concert shirt / Jeans: Rock & Republic for Kohl's / Shoes: Target / Scarf: handmade gift
Hooray for Friday!!!
I'm gearing up to head to Watershed Fest for the weekend with my babe and a few friends. An entire weekend of camping and awesome country music - like my FAVE Miranda Lambert, with some Dierks Bentley, Sara Evans and Blake Shelton thrown in there too!
Before I head out I thought I'd share my very casual (Thursday) outfit with ya'll.
I took this pic with my handy new iPhone tripod mount - I'm still trying to figure it the best way to take tripod photos, as I really got in a routine with that stinkin' mirror. I think (hope) next week I'll have some way prettier pics - maybe even some outside shots! :-O !
AND I'm going to try super hard to document this weekends festival outfits, so look for that Monday :)
Ok, I'm out to get somework Pinterest-ing done before we leave - have a fabulous weekend everyone!!
